Advantage VA shifting focus

26 November 2008 One Comment

After much soul-searching, discussion with two successful people I admire very much, and closer examination of both the market and my VA business, I have decided to shift the focus of the services I will be providing.

Rather than struggling to find clients as a Virtual Legal Assistant and working on blog installation projects on the side, I am now focusing on the blog projects instead, along with article and press release writing. I’ve received numerous referrals, rave reviews, and a lot of positive feedback as a result of the projects I’ve done so far. The demand for quality blog designs, articles and press releases is much greater than the demand for virtual legal assistants, so I think this is a good business decision.

I still enjoy the legal field and I will miss being a Legal Assistant, virtual or not, but I can always watch Law & Order or re-read my John Grisham books to get a “fix”. ;) (Of course I’m kidding. I do love L&O but that’s not how lawyers and judges act in the real world.) And hopefully I will still have the opportunity to work with attorneys, but it will just be in a different role.

That’s quite a change April, but I congratulate you on making the choice to focus on an area that will hopefully be more profitable for you in the long term! I know how challenging the legal niche is and how hard you have worked. I love the new look of your site though and think you will do really well with this new focus! Good luck!
